Click here for all results GENEVIEVE BAILDON SELECTED IN COMMONWEALTH GAMES TEAM Genevieve Baildon has been selected in the New Zealand team for the Trans Tasman Tests next month and also the nominated team for the Commonwealth Games later in the year (read more) SAM RUSSELL GAINS 3RD PLACE AT THE NATIONAL KITTYHAWK FINALS Congratulations to Sam Russell from the Central Cambridge club upon his 3rd equal placing at the National Kittyhawk Finals held in Auckland over Easter Weekend. Sam performed strongly in section play to qualify top of his section for the Championship round. After winning his quarter final game, Sam was then defeated in the semi finals by Raymond Martin from Wellington. Ryan Khan from the Putaruru Club also qualified for the National Finals and finished 5th equal after losing in the quarter finals to the eventual winner, Scott Evans from Auckland. The team finished in 4th place with Singles player; Cliff Mitchell-Burnard leading the way with 3 out of 5 wins and only lost his other 2 games by a single point. The Fours team of Brian Watson (skip), Frank Hitchen, Mark Tulip & Peter Lange also won 3 games, while the Pairs combination of Peter Burrett (skip) & Keith Waghorn competed well however could not register a win. Final Placings: Stokes Valley (Wellington) 22pts, North East Valley (Dunedin) 16pts, Motueka (Nelson) 16pts, Te Kuiti (Waikato) 12pts (+16), Northern (Manawatu) 12pts (-8), Pakuranga (Auckland) 12pts (-37)
